The Osprey Lesson

So I’m on my way to the point again,  and A beaver dam on the way catches my eye.  I stop and set up for tripod shot in late afternoon and as I snap I discover an Osprey nest on a post by the water on a telephone pole built for the bird.  And do I EVER get it wrong. The mother flies around and I snap at wrong Fstop and shutter speed.  Then wrong ISO and then wrong focus and then I switch to continuous slow then fast.  The bird is gone and she has had enough.  No matter how you try sometimes everything goes wrong.

The salvage below.
